Willows

A place to belong in Bray.

Pastries  ·  Snacks  ·  Sandwiches

"Small place. Big soul."

Our Story

Built in the
heart of Bray

Willows began with a simple instinct: that Bray deserved a small, honest place where you could start your morning well. Not a chain. Not a trend. Just good coffee, something fresh from the oven and a counter where you're known by name.

We took a compact space in the village and stripped it back. Warm wood, brass fittings, a display full of things we're genuinely proud of. The kind of place that looks like it's always been there.

"A cup of coffee in a place that feels like yours — that's all we wanted to make."

Every morning the pastries are baked fresh, the deli is stocked with care and the coffee is pulled with intention. We're small on purpose. Small means everything gets proper attention.

The Space

Inside Willows

Compact, counter-led and warm. The kind of space that earns its character rather than performing it.

The Counter

A walnut-fronted counter with a marble top. Pastries and cakes displayed with care. Everything made to be looked at before it's ordered.

Brass & Light

Warm Edison pendants over the counter. Wall sconces that cast long evening shadows. Brass fittings that catch the afternoon light from the window front.

The Window Seat

The best seat in the village. A front bench with a view of the street. Quiet on a Tuesday morning. Yours if you get here early enough.

The Shelves

Simple open shelving behind the counter. Coffee bags, local jars, a few things worth taking home. Nothing decorative for the sake of it.

The Floor

Warm timber underfoot. The kind that creaks slightly. Worn in the right places. It gives the room its character before anything else does.

The Chalkboard

Updated every morning. Specials, today's soup, whatever arrived fresh. A small gesture that tells you this place is paying attention.

Considered Together

Coffee & pastry,
paired properly

Some things work better together. These are our favourite combinations — built around what we make and how we make it.

Almond Croissant + Flat White

The nuttiness of the almond cream against a clean, tight espresso. The fat of the pastry softens the coffee's edge. A morning classic.

Morning
Pistachio Donut + Oat Milk Latte

The creaminess of oat milk mirrors the pistachio filling. Subtle, sweet and distinctly weekend-feeling.

Weekend
Carrot Cake + Chai Latte

Warm spice meets warm spice. The cream cheese frosting balances the chai's heat. An afternoon that earns itself.

Afternoon
Pain Au Chocolat + Cappuccino

Rich dark chocolate against thick foam. One of those combinations that needs no explanation and always feels right.

The Willows Way

What it means
to come in

We're not trying to be a destination. We're trying to be a habit.

The best cafés aren't the ones with the longest menus or the largest rooms. They're the ones where the person behind the counter already has your order started by the time you reach the counter.

At Willows, we've chosen to keep things small so we can keep them right. Every item on the counter was a deliberate choice. Every cup of coffee is pulled with the same attention whether it's the first of the morning or the fortieth.

  • Pastries baked fresh every morning — no yesterday's stock
  • Coffee from a single roaster we trust and visit
  • A counter display that changes when things run out
  • A small space where regulars are regulars, not just customers
  • Deli items that are genuinely worth taking home
